Short fiction scares me.
I’ve been a novel writer for most of my writing career and it is hard for me to narrow stories and concepts into short stories.
As a challenge to myself, I started writing flash fiction.
The city I live in has a monthly event called the First Friday Artwalk. On the first Friday of every month, all the art galleries downtown open their doors for exhibits. They offer snacks and beverages, and the streets are filled with artists, vendors, and performers.
In honor of that event, and as a further challenge to myself, I started the First Friday Flash Fiction newsletter.
